A NEW ADVANCED MANPACK RADIO CONCEPT FOR UHF DAMA SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS IS PROPOESD FOR DATA AND VOICE COMMUNICATIONS. THE PROPOSED RADIO CONCEPT UTILIZES A NEW MULTI-CHANNEL DAMA APPROACH IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE INTER-SERVICE SATELLITE RESOURCE SHARING ON A PRIORITY BASIS AND INCREASED USER CONNECTIVITY WHILE MAINTAINING INTEROPERABILITY WITH EXISTING DAMA SYSTEMS SUCH AS USTS AND MINIDAMA.
