Research abstract

This proposal describes a tri-band feed which can be used in rapid deployment, Super High Frequency (SHF) satellite communications termincal. The design provides tri-band capability through the use of coaxial waveguide, a concept which has been used with a high degree of success in other multi-band applications. Previous designs using coaxial waveguide architecture hace demonstrated high efficiency, near optimum illumination patterns and a common phase center for all bands.
