Research abstract

There is a critical need at several test ranges for a remote sensing capability toimage targets and perform such measurements as vector miss distance, target attitude, deployment and event timing, and damage assessment. Radar is the only sensor capableofmaking these measurements on high-altitude targets, but suitable radars, with thenecessary bandwidth and coverage, are not available. MARK Resources proposes to develop a new affordable wideband radar to meet this need. In fact, the radar shouldbe soaffordable that multiple units could also be used simultaneously to obtain truevector (three-dimensional) solutions. There are many test ranges in the world, and all are potential customers for thewideband radar systems. There is no other affordableproduct in existence with such advanced capabilities.
