Research abstract

Satellite Communication (SATCOM) is a necessity for teams (military or commercial) that are deployed away from their parent organizations. Unfortunately they may not have sufficient power supply/battery capability. By combining a SATCOM Antenna and Solar Cell Array protable, lightweight, and self-sufficient SATCOM Radio will increase the teams efficiency. Astron's experience in the design of UHF SATCOM Antennas has resulted in several innovative designs which will assure a small, lightweight, reliable, portable Antenna system.
