Research abstract

IN MODERN WARFIGHTING THEORY, A COMMAND, CONTROL, COMMUNICATIONS AND COUNTERMEASURES (C3CM) STRATEGY SOULD BE USED TO EMPLOU OPERATIONS SECURITY, DECEPTION (EXPLOITATION), JAMMING AND DESTRUCTIVE MEANS AGAINST AN ADVERSARY. A CREDITABLE CONCEPT ON HOW TO MEASURE THE WARFIGHTING BENEFITS OF A COMPREHENSIVE C3CM STRATEGY IS NEEDED. THE INCORPORATION OF SUCH A CONCEPT INTO AN EXISITING DECISION AID TOOL COULD GREATLY ENHANCE THE USE OF THESE STRATEGIES. PHASE I WILL DEVELOP A CONCEPT AND DESIGN FOR AN AUTOMATED MAPPING/TARGETING AID SYSTEM FOR MEASURING THE IFFECTIVENESS OF C3CM WARFIGHTING STRATEGIES. PHASE II DEVELOP AN AUTOMATED MAPPING/TARGETING AID SYSTEM AND DEMONSTRATE ITS APPLICATION TO VARIOUS C3CM SCENARIOS.
