Research abstract

THIS PROPOSAL DESCRIBES THE START OF AN EFFORT TO DEVELOP AN ADAPTIVE JAMMER SYSTEM. THERE ARE SEVERAL TECHNICAL PROBLEMS TO SOLVE BEFORE THE ADAPTIVE JAMMER CAN BE DEVELOPED. ONE DIFFICULTY ENCOUNTERED WITH THE ADAPTIVE JAMMER SYSTEM CAN BE SOLVED BY DESIGNING THE EXCITER TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED SIGNAL TO THE RF AMPLIFIER. HOWEVER, THE RF POWER AMPLIFIER PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN SOLVED. THE EFFORT IN PHASE I WILL STUDY SEVERAL APPROACHES TO THE RF POWER AMPLIFIER PROBLEM, SELECT ONE FOR A CONCEPTUAL DESIGN, AND DEVELOP A SPECIFICATION FOR THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN. THE SPECIFICATION IN THIS PHASE WILL BE THE BASIS FOR THE EFFORT IN PHASE II.
