Research abstract

Macrovey's Autonomous Material Deployment System (AMDS) is a next-generation robotic logistics platform designed for extreme military environments. By leveraging advanced AI, vision systems, and rugged robotics, the AMDS autonomously handles, transports, and deploys materials in real time. It integrates seamlessly with Macrovey’s Warehouse Control System (WCS), enabling efficient operations in logistics hubs, combat zones, and remote military bases. The system is designed to address the complex logistical needs of the U.S. Air Force by improving material handling accuracy and reducing operational bottlenecks in high-risk situations.Phase I of this project will focus on outreach to U.S. Air Force stakeholders to explore how AMDS can be adapted to military logistics requirements. Macrovey will engage with key Air Force personnel to assess the specific needs of end-users and establish relationships with acquisition specialists. This outreach is critical for aligning the system’s features with the Air Force's operational goals and will include meetings to identify pain points, technology gaps, and system integration needs. The AMDS utilizes AI-powered computer vision with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and robotic arms, which allow for real-time object identification and manipulation. The system’s ability to operate in diverse environments with minimal human intervention reduces error rates and improves operational speed. Its rugged design, featuring corrosion-resistant materials and coatings, ensures the system’s durability in harsh conditions, making it ideal for military settings such as forward-operating bases or extreme weather environments. In Phase I, the focus will be on demonstrating the system’s potential and aligning it with the Air Force’s logistics needs. Macrovey will assess the technical and operational requirements for potential deployment, paving the way for a Phase II feasibility study. This initial outreach will set the stage for testing AMDS in real-world military scenarios, demonstrating its ability to enhance logistical efficiency and provide scalable solutions for the U.S. Air Force’s supply chain operations.
