Research abstract

Many rural areas and related small communities are on the lower side that separates areas with and without the telecommunications infrastructure necessary to compete in today's global economy. This project evaluates the application of fixed wireless communications technology for rural areas and develops a preliminary broadband network system design for Rusk County, a low-income rural county in Northern Wisconsin.
