Research abstract

Mirala’s solution represents a significant technological breakthrough in wireless communication by being the first system to demonstrate a direct wireless link between a satellite and an indoor module. The module, which is incredibly compact and roughly the size of a postage stamp, is designed to seamlessly integrate with various devices, equipment, or materiel in both military and civilian applications. This innovation opens up new possibilities for real-time asset tracking and environmental monitoring in areas where traditional communication methods may be challenged, such as in enclosed spaces or underground facilities. By leveraging satellite connectivity, Mirala’s solution eliminates the need for wired connections or external antennas, enabling more flexible and efficient integration across a wide range of operational environments. The technology's small size allows it to be easily embedded into devices without impacting functionality, making it ideal for scenarios that require discreet tracking or monitoring, such as military logistics, supply chain management, or remote asset management. This capability could be particularly useful in environments where conventional GPS or radio signals might not penetrate, such as in warehouses, bunkers, or dense urban environments. In essence, Mirala's module not only enhances the ability to track and monitor equipment or materials but also streamlines communication by utilizing satellite connections that provide global coverage, improving operational efficiency and reducing reliance on terrestrial networks.
