Research abstract

In this Phase I effort, we propose to build and test a prototype of a revolutionary new concept for producing an electronically reconfigurable, low profile planar array antenna that is both lightweight and frequency agile. The reconfigurable antenna will be based on a diamond cold cathode switching technology developed by SI Diamond Technology, Inc. (SIDT), Houston, Texas. Princeton Microwave Technology (PMT) will team with SIDT to undertake this development. The overall program is designed to result in the ability to fabricate large area 2-D planar array antenna that can be reconfigured into a variety of configurations such as dipoles, folded-dipoles and bow-ties.
