Research abstract

Many Scientists agree that science inquiry investigations promote greater learning, however the time and resources needed to carry out these investigations are considerable. We believe our simulation platform, www.cinematicsciences.com, will allow teachers to cover science concepts with the same depth of understanding of a traditional hands-on inquiry lab, but as quickly and efficiently as they cover traditional book work. During Phase I we will enhance the existing platform so we can build a suite of inquiry simulations for Energy Conversion Topics which American Students score below average on TIMMS and NAEP tests. Phase I enhancements will lay the foundation for our Phase II goal to build simulations for all major 8th grade National Science Standard Physical Science Concepts for motion, forces, waves, heat, electromagnetism, optics, chemistry, and modern physics.
