Research abstract

Triton Systems, Inc. and partners will develop a position estimation system and sensor package that integrates with the headline of the towed array to provide location information of the array relative to the towing platform. An accurate relative position solution allows co-processing of towed array data and hull-mounted sensors resulting in increased gain and improved accuracy.  Triton will incorporate Open Architecture Telemetry (OAT) standards in our design. During Phase II we will conduct additional simulation and real-world experimentation with system prototypes.
