Research abstract
In this effort, PoE Texas proposes to leverage Power Over Ethernet DC Microgrid technology to improve resilient basing and readiness to deploy and fight by addressing three main challenges with base building infrastructure:1. Variability in electrical power available world-wide 2. Safety and infrastructure requirements using traditional AC power 3. C2 silos currently inherent in building infrastructure PoE Texas' technology will help the Air Force to enable its Agile Combat Employ doctrine by reducing reliance by enabling power to be deployed rapidly to spartan locations and Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), and can enable superior, safer C3 control across operations once fielded.PoE Texas is a fast-growing, leading supplier of Power Over Ethernet (POE) technology to commercial building customers and is a leading technical innovator in the space. Our existing commercial products, combined with our innovation pipeline, can directly and significantly aid the Air Force in meeting its goals for sustainability, security, and transitioning to clean energy, all while significantly reducing initial costs for new construction and retrofits. POE Texas’ team boasts extensive experience in networking, lighting, and building construction which places it in unique position to forecast market trends, anticipate pertinent issues before they occur, and to evolve its technical innovations based on deep levels of insight into the uses of its technology.
