Research abstract
The objective of this research is to package current, state-of-the-art voice recognition software and hardware into a flexible automated tool. The tool will integrate ship verbal communications with tactical information processing and modifiable mission essential criteria and will quantifiably improve decisions on today's U.S. Navy ships. JJM Systems, Inc. proposes to develop an innovative intelligent voice recognition system that capitalizes on intelligent software agents to recognize natural speech patterns of high interest tactical communications. The proposed system will enhance the situational awareness of battle group tactical decision makers and influence optimum-tactical responses in time critical predicaments. The system shall function as an ancillary component to the tactical in formation network of battle group communications and provide relevant tactical information processing. Adjunct to processing mission essential tactical communications, the proposed system will accomplish dependable information transfer using an integrated user programmable prioritization scheme. Inherent in the design will be functional interactivity serviceable by any connected communication station. The parochial mission area serviceability provides increased data point ambiguity resolution to ameliorate spontaneous responses to tactical situations.
