Research abstract

WaveBand Corporation proposes to develop a new type of reduced-size flexible or rigid antennas that can be used as stand-alones or be mounted on the web gear or the vest of a tactical user. The antenna will cover the whole frequency range of (30-450) MHz,thus removing the need for a separate antenna for each sub-band. Antennas are of low profile, easy to manufacture, therefore low in cost. The requirements of high efficiency and of multi-band operation will be satisfied by using a fractal or otherself-similar design approach. Low cost reduced-size antennas have a large number of civilian and dual-use applications in the realm of RF and microwave antennas, devices, and systems for communications and signal collection needed in the broadbandcommunications market.
