Research abstract

THIS PROJECT DEVELOPS A PRODUCT WHICH CAN DELIVER INTRAVENOUS FLUID AT A CONTROLLED RATE OVER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. IV SYSTEMS, INC. HAS DEVELOPED A REFINED PLASTIC "CLAMP" FOR INTRAVENOUS (IV) TUBING AND NOW WANTS TODEVELOP A LOW COST DEVICE WHICH WILL REDUCE (OR ELIMINATE) CHANGES IN PRESSURE IN THE INTRAVENOUS DELIVERY SYSTEM. THEPRESSURE REGULATING DEVICE WOULD BE USED WITH THE NEWLY DESIGNED FLOW RATE CLAMP.
