Research abstract
Due to rapid advances in client/server technology, software applications running on microcomputersmanage complex data residing in distributed databases. We will develop a truly user-friendly databasthe management of objective psychological test data that will run identically on IBM PC/PC clones orcomputers and access data stored on several different platforms. The project will feature five coremanagement of demographic and medical data; construction of test form templates; test score entry ustemplates; selection of discrete subsets of stored data; and maintenance of data integrity and securmodule, designed to facilitate scheduling of subjects including repeated visits for longitudinal stuFuture versions of the software will feature modules optimized for other biomedical subdisciplines, neurology and nephrology, and will run on additional workstations (e.g. UNIX).
