Research abstract

Chaotic signal processing techniques treat signals as geometric objects in a multidimension state space. We have developed a processor for chaotic signals that incorporates several novel ideas. We propose to use this processor to analyze real signals and use the results as a starting place to further define issues in applied chaotic signal processing. The issues include the ability to characterize real signals, detection of low SNR signals, attractor noise reduction, and improvements to detector SNR by characterizing and then reducing ambient and systemic noise.
