Research abstract

The proposed R&D project aims to enhance the capabilities of the Antaris Cloud Platform (ACP) and the TrueTwin™ simulation environment to address the specific requirements of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Antaris is the pioneering software platform designed to simplify satellite design, simulation, and operations, featuring tools for easy satellite design, advanced digital twinning, comprehensive spacecraft software, and secure space data networking. Utilizing open APIs and open-source software, the ACP ensures seamless integration without vendor lock-in, significantly reducing time-to-orbit by 2X% and constellation lifetime costs by 10X. In this project, we will adapt our commercially developed ACP and TrueTwin™ simulation environment to meet the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) requirements. The ACP integrates three primary modules: the Antaris Design Studio for interactive mission and satellite design, the TrueTwin™ simulation environment for virtual mission testing, training, and wargaming, and the Antaris Command Center for automated, resilient, and secure satellite operations. By leveraging the TrueTwin™ module, we will generate a unique dataset to support the creation of a Cognitive Digital Twin (CDT) capability. TrueTwin™ can simulate a wide range of operational scenarios at scale and on an accelerated timeline, enabling the creation of essential synthetic data currently lacking in operational systems. This data will be produced through multiple TrueTwin™ scenarios, covering diverse operational use cases, thus providing the necessary inputs to enhance missile tracking and threat identification for the MDA.
