Research abstract

Titan Systems proposes to provide 4G LTE/5G and Bluetooth SATCOM based communications transport systems over commercial carrier networks to support data link of IP-based communications of ISR data, tracks and other intelligence data. Existing small form factor antennas (such as FEAR 2.0) and commercial SDRs embedded in the Lightning processors will be used for the user hardware to develop and demonstrate this capability. Applications and products that will benefit inclide Minotaur, ANDURIL Lattice and other ISR-based tactical intelligence systems needed small form factor radio, processing and broadband antenna capability. The use of 5G and Bluetooth networks operating in L and S band will enable the exchange of high data rates at up to 20 Mbps without the use of very large, power hungry active electronically steered arrays.             Titan Systems intends to work with commercial SATCOM providers such as Lynk Corporation, AST Space Mobile and Hubble Network corporation to demonstrate on their networks (assuming collaborative benefit by both parties). As part of the Phase II design effort, Titan Systems will continue integration of 5G modem and Bluetooth software and conduct wireless testing at Titan’s RF test range usin the Lightining radio/processor coupled with the FEAR antenna. Minotaur software will be loaded and data transport of track data will be tested using both Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) SATCOM.
