Research abstract

A new generation of STEP is now coming on line with interfaces between CAD and CAE systems defined by AP 209. The goal of this proposal is to accelerate the deployment of a capability to exchange data between CAD and CAE systems by developing practical test cases for AP 209, as well as developing a software system tools to make the software deployment pilot programs practical. It is proposed to build a software tool that given two STEP files provides the answers to the following questions: Do these two files describe the same design model or not? Are these files AP 209 compliant or not?
