Personal and Education Training Assistant

The goal of this project is to create a natural language (NL) dialogue capability that will support user communication with intelligent agents in distributed environments. The NL capability will be designed so that it will interface with agents who canmentor, advise, or tutor. The NL approach combines parsing, semantic analysis, response generation, and will leverage ongoing ontology efforts. System performance enhancements will include contextual assistance and a hybrid-approach error recoverymechanism. For spoken input and output, the dialog system will have a continuous speech recognition system and a text-to-speech synthesizer.
