Research abstract

In recent years, the natural language research community has embraced constraint-based unification formalisms, largely for their expressiveness and their facility for implementation on computers. Despite years of research on the paradigm, there is not a portable, embeddable natural language processing software with a wide-coverage grammar and lexicon which is if practicable use for military, governmental, and commercial applications and research purposes.
