Research abstract

The Acoustech Corporation as the prime contractor and the Pennsylvania State University - Applied Research Labc-atory as the subcontractor propose to design, manufacture, and test an underwater acoustic intensity probe containing a geophone and two-hydrophones encased in a neutrally buoyant package. The results of this proposed effort are anticipated to be highly successful since the research team has a combined total of five years applicable experience with intensity probes of this design. Additionally, the Phase I work will provide an excellent foundation for Phase II work. Acoustech Corporation has culminated extensive marketing strategies Lo target both military and privite sector markets in order the commercialize the intensity probe and obtain follow-on funding from non-SBIR Sources.
