Research abstract
We propose to fabricate a zoom lens with a focal length that is continuously variable from 20 inches to 150 inches to image objects at distances of many kilometers. The lens will be color corrected from 450 nm to 650 nm. A zoom lens will provide theability to image distant targets at various ranges without the need to maintain an inventory of multiple lenses with different focal lengths. This saves inventory costs and the expense and time needed to change systems during testing.
