Research abstract

Cognitive Satellite Sensor Controller (CS2C) continually decides which sensor setting to choose to best track fast-moving objects. It is a “cognitive” method because it predicts how well each sensor setting can identify objects in different conditions and uses those predictions to pick the best setting. During Phase I, we demonstrated that CS2C is effective on open-source satellite data. During Phase II, we will fine-tune CS2C on operational data and demonstrate capability in a simulated operational environment. Approved for Public Release | 25-MDA-12052 (27 Mar 25)
