Research abstract

This STTR project aims to demonstrate compound metalenses and camera systems featuring an ultra-compact footprint, a wide field-of-view (FOV) exceeding 100°, a large operation bandwidth across the visible spectrum (450 to 750 nm), and a large depth-of-field (DOF). In addition, the project will also develop a novel design technique that fully accounts for near-field coupling between the meta-atoms (meta-units) as well as scalable foundry manufacturing compatibility.
