Research abstract

"Depots at Air Force bases need to be able to recruit and rapidly qualify potential depot workers so they become "contributing members" of the depot workforce. In response to this overarching need, the proposed effort will create the design and conceptualprototype of a training framework capable of rapidly evaluating a worker's training needs, and creating a worker-specific training syllabus that gets the worker qualified in the shortest amount of time at the lowest possible cost. The training frameworkwill be based on ADL's SCORM standard thereby assuring content accessibility, and interoperability. The concept prototype is expected to showcase the capabilities of the training framework within a selected shop area of Tinker AFB. The key benefit isdramatically faster time to qualification of depot workers and increased training manager convenience / Potential commercial applications include cost-effective, rapid e-learning in both commercial/industrial settings and educational institutions."
