Research abstract
"ITAC will research, design and demonstrate (RD&D) the next generation JTWS software as the basis for future SOF technology advancement. Today's SOF tactical users lack dynamic software for smart threat warning and intelligence gathering capabilities tosave lives and improve mission effectiveness. Our innovative software approach will be JCAF compliant, provide DRT and other intercept receiver interfaces, and incorporate advanced GIS displays and applications. The design will evolve from ITAC's provenand tactically relevant Intelligent Communications Exploitation (ICE) capability will be compatible with system configurations that employ PCI and PCMCIA technologies. Phase I RD&D will focus on the latest software technologies that incorporate intuitiveuser interfaces, graphic maps, overlay DF threat locations, present best cognitive situational awareness, and predict future events and activities. Benefits include capabilities for detecting, identifying, and locating friend and foe, linking maps,geo-registered imagery and UAV video to friendly and enemy elements, provide processing and exploitation speeds that provide "in-time" threat warning and archived data for post mission exploitation, reporting and replanning. In Phase I and duringsubsequent SBIR Phases, ITAC will place importance on technology advancement through spiral development and technology transition to suppliers and users within the commercial community. A successful Pha
