Research abstract

Triton Systems, Inc. will prepare a new and innovative electrochromic window, for uses as a GHz EM shield, with improved cycling speed and contrast. The new window will have a highly conductive polymer film placed interdigitally between the electrode gold fingers of the switch, with no conductive polymer on top of the gold fingers (which slows the switching speed). The highly conductive polymer will be placed interdigitally by an inherently selective electrochemical process (not by a masking process) using a unique intermediary thin film conductive polymer electrode. Improved contrast will be obtained through the electrodeposition on the thin film electrode resulting in uniform conductive polymer switchable "shields" with high conductivity in the interdigital spaces.
