Research abstract

The Proposed program will implement a consistent, user-friendly, Microsoft Windows based framework for the EOSAEL. We will provide ARL/BED with user-friendly model integration through a knowledge based interface, electronic and "conventional" documentation, customer training (formal, informal), customer support, and EOSAEL "marketing". Customer support will include manuals - electronic and printed (EOSAEL/COMBIC for Phase I), telephone support, bulletin board (to be implemented in Phase II), E-mail (in Phase II0, 24 hour fax support, quarterly newsletter (A prototype EOSAEL Newsletter will be developed in Phase I), (a quarterly EOSAEL newsletter will be produced during Phase II), workshops at ARL/BED, customized on-site workshops (to be implemented in Phase II), and electronic program upgrading (to be implemented in Phase II). The team for the proposed program is well qualified to perform the work described in this proposal. The Ontar staff will be assisted by the Physical Science Laboratory of New Mexico State University as a subcontractor, and Dr. Christos Maragoudakis as a consultant. This, combined with our in-house expertise in many of the EOSAEL modules, provides an in-depth knowledge of EOSAEL and the capability to support ARL/BED. We guarantee that the proposed program will be successful in developing new commercial products. We are sufficiently confident that we will agree to refund the government's money if we are not successful. We will greatly the opportunity to perform the proposed work.
