Research abstract

This program will address the Navy’s need for a shipboard camera stabilization system capable of achieving sub 25 microradion line of sight stabilities in sea state 5 conditions in combination with shipboard vibrations as defined in MIl-STD-810H.  We will apply our extensive experience in mechanical gimbal design to determine the technical feasibility, design and prototype for a system that can meet or exceed the desired stabilization as well as facilitate the goal of 360 degree staring coverage with the government’s  suite of payload sensors.
