Research abstract

Pyrophoric liquids are currently being used in the Towed Airborne Plume Simulator (TAPS) to simulate the plumes of surface to air missiles in order to test aircraft missile warning systems. The system currently is lacking an accurate and fast-response method of measuring the pyrophoric liquid flow rate during the TAPS burner operation.Ā Triton Systems proposes to develop a highly accurate, non-intrusive flowmeter with fast-response time that can withstand and maintain accuracy in harsh vibration and temperature environments.Ā The final product will comply with Air Force standards.
