Research abstract

Triton Systems, Inc., along with our academic partner, has demonstrated chalcogenide glasses that have high transparency in the near infrared, low dn/dT, good laser damage threshold, and broadband transmission suitable for multispectral applications.  These compositions also meet the thermomechanical requirements for shelf and operational stability. In the proposed Phase II effort, we will further optimize the composition and processing to improve the thermo-optic coefficient and laser damage threshold while scaling selected compositions to produce 4 in. suitable for evaluation.
