Research abstract

For the initial Phase 1 of this effort, GuideTech proposes to combine simulation and real-world testing that will culminate in a Preliminary Design Review sufficient to justify a Phase II effort to fully develop, test, and optimize the system in preparation for LRIP production of the resulting vehicle.Ā The resulting Air-Launched Rapid Reach Missile (ALRRM) weapon system will be able to sustain higher than Mach 4.0, have a minimum range of 350 nautical miles, support a payload of 150 lbs minimum, be shorter than 15 feet in length, weigh less than 2000 lbs, and have an ability to fly at a wide range of speeds.Ā Unit and lifecycle costs will be prime drivers of the design requirements.
