Research abstract

Conventional battlefield tactics, albeit automated to a great extent in today's digital age, still need extensive human intervention for decision-making because significant analysis must be performed by evaluating data from several sources. This limitation impedes the optimum efficiency of the automated weapon system. AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) are tools that will evolve future battlefield operations by aiding effective situational awareness.Neoskye proposes developing an innovative machine learning mechanism involving datalink-enabled firing optimization composed of the following networked AI tasks such as Sensor data collection, Target recognition, classification, and selection, Tracking the selected targets to fire, Selecting an appropriate weapon, Firing weapon system at appropriate timing, overlaid with a system architecture of multi-robot system (MRS) model of Real-Time Multiple Kill Chains Operations. For Phase II, Neoskye, an ITAR compliant, minority-owned small business, will build on its innovative “AI Smart Factory Tool” which leverages a proven and unique architecture to deliver a functional prototype for fire optimization on a battlefield. At the culmination of Phase III, Neoskye will commercialize the product for various DoD applications as well as supply the next generation of tools to support competitive manufacturing that results from a successful Industry 4.0 implementation.
