Research abstract

The proposed unit is a compact signal collection and direction finding (DF) sensor that covers the HF and VHF frequency regions and is designed for airborne applications. It uses a unique vector sensing design coupled with front-end RF electronics providing a flat system response across the entire operating frequency region. It is also provided with an open standards based software suite that allows DF of all propagation modes  including both linear and elliptic polarizations.
