Research abstract

Legacy systems represent challenges for the military services and DLA. The TF34 engine lubricating cooler has been a problem part for years. This Phase I program applies proven reverse engineering methods to generate a technical data package (TDP) that will enable a qualified production source to make the part in support of the of the sustainment supply chain. In addition, the Phase I completes the source approval request (SAR) process for a capable source to ensure that a viable supply chain is in place for this essential legacy part.
