Research abstract
Disruptiv Technologies will apply innovative database tools to Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) to significantly improve the military readiness of aircraft and other weapons systems. New data correlation, data fusion, and AI technologies will enable the Air Force to map all versions of all parts on all aircraft to generate a more complete and accurate understanding of the maintenance needs of the entire fleet than has been possible before. Aircraft Assets Analytics will integrate data from N number of systems – legacy, operational, and transactional – through a software framework that enables user self-service, and that requires minimal training and no ongoing contractor support. This self-service solution enables SMEs, staff, and managers to visualize and solve complex problems using embedded AI and ML workflows created by those who know the data and the business challenges. Aircraft Assets Analytics will enable CBM+ to predict more accurately future needs for parts, personnel, training, scheduled maintenance, repair facilities, and other critical resources. Among many other benefits, Aircraft Assets Analytics will map parts compatibility and dependencies to avoid wasteful mismatches, to improve coordination of needed resources, and so to optimize the throughput of maintenance operations. It also will track parts IUIDs throughout their lifecycle to identify and eliminate “bad actors.” When the Air Force has a comprehensive and accurate mapping of all parts on all aircraft, including their interdependencies, it will be able to deploy its facilities, equipment, parts and people more efficiently, resulting in greater readiness of its aircraft and weapons systems.
