Research abstract

Autonoma proposes to adapt its AutoVerse digital twin platform to meet the Department of the Navyís requirements under Topic N252-103, ìVirtual Sea-Shield: Immersive Content Creation with Generative AI for Automated C5ISR Situational Awareness.î The Phase I effort will assess the feasibility of modifying AutoVerse to develop a scalable, AI-driven 4D content generation environment capable of transforming multimodal C5ISR data into immersive, high-fidelity observables for operational planning, threat detection, and mission rehearsal.ÝAutoVerse is a proven simulation platform that supports photo-realistic, geospatially accurate environments, real-time AI agent coordination, and dynamic human-machine interaction. Built on a proprietary physics engine (J3DI), AutoVerse is capable of running simulations up to 20◊ faster than real-time and has been deployed for autonomous vehicle testing, logistics planning, and smart infrastructure validation. This effort will expand its functionality to support naval-specific use cases, including denied-area ISR modeling, multi-agent teaming, and immersive engagement planning.ÝAutoVerseís existing architecture and scalability provide a strong foundation for Navy-specific adaptation. Its ability to integrate real-time sensor data, support human-in-the-loop interaction, and generate dynamic operational environments positions it as an ideal candidate for supporting Virtual Sea-Shield objectives. The Phase I feasibility study will culminate in an integrated prototype demonstrating semantic reasoning, AI-assisted teaming, and immersive visualization based on open-source and synthetic naval datasets. This work will lay the groundwork for a Phase II prototype with direct application to contested maritime operations, advancing Navy efforts to improve decision-making, increase survivability, and project power in increasingly complex operational theaters.
