Research abstract

Given the current use and ownership of proprietary software in public and private healthcare systems, deficiencies have been identified that a) prevent real-time access to patient data by providers and patients, (b) inhibit patients from connecting to others with similar ailments/illnesses, and (c) fail to interconnect with other operational e-systems. The goals of the current development address these issues and further enable patients to take control of his/her respective individual medical records, consolidate records from multiple providers in one network, and further connect respective providers via a backdoor secure network for data sharing authorized by patients. The system disclosed allows a user to specify an illness, disease, or health condition, mental or physical or otherwise, and interconnect with other users having similar diagnoses, symptoms, conditions, complications, or treatments. The social network provides a global interface having remote access for medical data access globally, from the latest innovations in medicine to the remote locations of the world. The network globalizes healthcare data collection, consolidating data into a common system for data analytics (AI and machine learning) in overall healthcare in diagnosis and treatment, including patient emotional and social support.
