Research abstract

Volans-I operates a fleet of VTOL, autonomous logistics UAS, capable of autonomous navigation and delivery of mission critical supplies (20+ lbs) over the horizon and from distances in excess of 500 miles. Their systems are able to conduct fully autonomous deliveries in numerous austere conditions including moving target ship-to-ship operations as well as GPS and communications denied environments. They are the most advanced long-range drone delivery company in the commercial sector and have raised over $20M in venture capital from the world’s top venture capitalists (such as the first investors in Airbnb, Snapchat, Dropbox, etc.) to develop and manufacture their suite of capabilities. To date, Volans-I has successfully completed over 200 real world missions, logging over 1000 flight hours, without an accident.
