Research abstract

The exponential and unchecked growth of online information sources across open-source and social media networks has created challenges – and opportunities – for the Air Force. The utilization of more efficient information discovery and analytical tools can enable operational and intelligence elements to conduct real-time modeling of population-sized changes in sentiment, and other predictive analytics that can optimize force protection needs. Polysentry’s discovery and data filtering software can support the Air Force’s mission to maintain improved situational awareness and detect emerging trends and threats more efficiently.
