Electro-Optic and Infrared Situational Awareness Display

Photonica will provide a functional demonstration unit (system) meeting performance goals for an EO/IR SA Display System for Expedition Warfare: Navy SEALs HMDs and augmented reality (AR) focus, small craft HMDs with virtual reality (VR) and AR focus on deck and inside the boats HMD VR and flat panel displays, command and control for large panels for VR and AR over maps focus. The EO/IR SA Display System will demonstrate an interfacing panoramic WFOV EO/IR imaging system and accompanying high definition narrow FOV EO/IR imaging system that work together in tandem to supply the WFOV and NFOV Zoom imagery. Evaluation results will then be used to refine the demonstration unit into an initial deployment design that will meet Navy requirements for Phase III. Photonica will then prepare a Phase III development plan to transition the technology to Expedition Warfare in the first instance; Projects beyond Expedition Warfare will also be offered development and deployment tracks.
