Research abstract

The Defense Logistics Agency seeks improved product availability through increased competition for certain Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Critical Safety/Critical Application Items (CSI/CAI).These items have National Stock Numbers (NSN) with an annual demand of > $10,000 and fewer than two manufacturers.NanoSonic is a small advanced company that specializes in innovate additive manufacturing methods to produce high performance parts for defense prime customers within our LEED certified facility. Our recent focus has been on delivering affordable, reliable, and innovative Thermal Array based discrete parts to the DLA.NanoSonic has a Government CAGE code, DIBBS account, is Joint Certification Program (JCP) certified, and has access to DLA collaboration folders (cFolders).During this program, NanoSonic shall submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) as a competitive vendor to produce ALRE CSI/CAI such as NSN: 1710-00-716-2994, ram packing adapter. We shall develop a technical drawing and complete all requirements for the SAR checklist for review by theCompetition Advocate Office (initial administrative review) and possible approval from the Contracting Officer and cognizant Product Specialist.NanoSonic is a certified vendor to defense primes through the ExoStar system and will work directly with the DLA to reduce overall costs throughout the supply chain.
