Legislaide Generative AI Platform For Streamlined DoD Legal Document Preparation and Process Workflows

The Department of Defense (DoD) legal enterprise faces significant challenges in efficiently generating legal documents, such as justification memos, investigative findings, and policy documents. These tasks are critical yet time-intensive, relying heavily on manual processes that impede operational readiness. To address this, Legislaide proposes the development of a Generative AI platform tailored specifically for DoD legal workflows.Legislaideĺs solution builds on its commercially successful legislative research and drafting platform, currently used by local governments, to create an LLM-agnostic Generative AI system designed for the DoDĺs unique requirements. This platform will enable legal teams to rapidly generate compliant, high-quality documents, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and accelerating mission-critical operations. During Phase I, we will conduct customer discovery at the Wing and Division levels, focusing on legal offices handling base legal actions, investigative findings, and policy creation. This effort will include wireframing high-value legal workflows and beginning integration of these workflows into the Legislaide platform, raising its Technology Readiness Level (TRL) from 3 to 4.The solution aligns with the DoDĺs priorities in trusted AI and business process optimization, offering transformative benefits by automating repetitive legal processes while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory and security standards. With a total addressable market of $58 billion for government AI solutions and proven traction in the public sector, Legislaide is well-positioned to deliver dual-use capabilities. Backed by substantial venture funding and cash runway, Legislaide has the resources to transition this effort into Phase II and full-scale deployment.This Phase I effort will establish the feasibility of adapting Legislaideĺs Generative AI capability for the DoD, setting the stage for significant operational and strategic improvements in legal workflows across the defense enterprise.
