Research abstract

TalentForge is an AI-driven platform designed to address the complexities of team formation and individual performance optimization in mission-critical environments facing emerging operational challenges. Built on the Competing Values Framework, TalentForge uses organizational science, sociology, and cognitive psychology to assess and align personnel based on technical skills, personality traits, and mission-specific performance indicators. Through comprehensive assessments, TalentForge enables rapid team assembly, aligning team members to specific mission needs and enhancing operational adaptability.áTraditional team assembly methods often struggle to respond to dynamic demands, resulting in mismatched teams and inefficient use of talent, increasing the risk of mission failure. For organizations like the Department of Defense, where unpredictable conditions require optimal personnel placement, TalentForge offers a solution that incorporates both technical and soft skills, including cognitive factors like adaptability and collaboration tendencies. This approach creates teams that are skilled, resilient, and effective in complex scenarios.ááTalentForge assesses individuals across three core dimensions: personnel skills, personnel traits, and mission-specific KPIs. Skills are evaluated through ôNFL combine-styleö capabilities, offering a deeper view of individual proficiencies relevant to mission demands and their fit to be a part of a team. These traits include personality and adaptability measures, such as innovation tendencies and collaboration skills. Finally, mission-specific KPIs ensure that team members align with broader mission priorities and goals.áThe Competing Values Framework, a validated model from organizational studies, underpins T TalentForge's approach, balancing dynamics like adaptability versus stability and external versus internal focus. This foundation enables TalentForge to systematically create cohesive, adaptable teams that excel in high-pressure environments. The platformĺs flexible, data-driven, and evidence-based approach enhances mission outcomes, organizational agility, and individual satisfaction by recognizing and leveraging each team memberĺs unique strengths.áTalentForge can also be utilized for many purposes, from recruiting ľ by identifying the right talent, retention ľ analyzing and identifying a suitable career path based on interest and existing skills, and talent development ľ by examining existing skills and recommending training programs to develop specific skills needed. In short, TalentForce is a crucial component to accelerate mission readiness.áMoreover, TalentForge presents minimal technical risk, since it leverages existing DoD technologies and integrates seamlessly with current software and hardware.
