Hazel Generative AI and LLM Software for Automated DoD Requirements Package Process Workflows

Hazelĺs application is supported by customized LLM agents tailored to common acquisitions tasks; a library of reference solicitations from local, federal, and state agencies; and an enriched database of suppliers cross-referenced across commercial and public sector data. Our off-the-shelf application assists acquisitions officers in the process of drafting solicitations, finding bidders, and managing contracts. In one place, acquisitions teams can use Hazelĺs team to create the first draft of a solicitation in minutes, label it with the appropriate NAICS codes, and then find dozens of eligible suppliers to perform the work. Hazel is built from the ground up for solely government users and deployed with local government agencies.áThis proposal focuses specifically on the research and development of a DoD-specific module to streamline Requirements Package generation by acquisitions officers and program managers who fuse military planning outcomes into warfighter technology, product, and service needs. Hazelĺs generative AI solution will enable DoD program offices and requirements staff (J8, A8, etc.) to automate Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes and workflows, culminating in AI generation of Program Objective Memoranda (POMs) to respond to assignments in the Defense Planning Guidance (DPG) and satisfy its assigned functions over the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).á
