Research abstract

In todayĺs complex supply chain ecosystems, the ability to anticipate equipment maintenance and supply is crucial for mitigating critical part failures. Unfortunately, current methods to monitor equipment conditions remain labor-intensive and frequently contribute to cognitive load. Advanced Onion, Inc. recognizes these challenges and proposes the development of an autonomous generative alert system for near real-time monitoring and reporting to enhance equipment predictive maintenance and supply. Leveraging generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), large language models (LLMs), and hybrid document retrieval systems, our proposed solution aims to tip and cue supply chain specialists of evolving equipment conditions that require executive action. Phase I research will demonstrate the feasibility for developing analog and digital data preprocessing methods, natural language queries, data-driven generative alerts, and no-code-low-code platform functionality. Our goal is to accelerate the development and adoption of the proposed generative AI framework for transforming predictive maintenance and supply across speed, scale, and relevance.á
