Research abstract

The White House has recognized that government contract prices are often inconsistent and excessively high compared to market rates. As a result, the Better Contracting Initiative (BCI) was launched by the White House to ensure Federal contracts deliver the best value. With Federal agencies operating under tight budgets, they require better data and tools to secure optimal contract terms. Key elements of the BCI include leveraging cross-agency data to achieve lower prices and gaining better value from sole-source and other high-risk contracts. To address this need, Bryant Alliance has developed Price IT, a groundbreaking AI-powered pricing tool designed for the DoD and commercial clients. Price IT utilizes historical cost data from awarded government contracts to project costs for current and future projects. This advanced tool provides acquisition officials with actionable insights into contractor and subcontractor pricing, enabling accurate contract cost analysis and evaluations. By maximizing budget efficiency and serving as a vital negotiation aid, Price IT will ensures DoD contract prices are fair, reasonable, and aligned with fiscal priorities.
